GTA 6 download stuck or failed

1. Check PlayStation status. If there is an alert, wait and try later.
2. Open Downloads/Uploads in the control center, select the download, then pause and resume it.
3. Check free space under Settings > Storage.
4. Update the system software: Settings > System > System Software > System Software Update and Settings.
5. Test your connection: Settings > Network > Connection Status > Test Internet Connection.
6. If it still fails, select Cancel and Delete, find the game in your Game Library and download it again.
7. Last, start the console in Safe Mode and choose Clear Cache and Rebuild Database.

1. Check Xbox status. You can sign in there to be told when a service is back.
2. Make sure you are signed in with the profile that bought the game.
3. Open the guide and check Notifications for a low-storage warning.
4. Check for a console update: Profile & system > Settings > System > Updates. A "Download stopped" error can mean you need one.
5. Go to My games & apps > See all > Manage > Queue and read the speed. If the game shows Queued or Paused, press Menu and select Resume installation.
6. Close any running game. Background downloads are held back while a game is running.
7. Restart: hold the Xbox button on your controller and choose Restart console. Downloads pause and then resume, so check the Queue afterwards.
8. Pause the download and run a network speed test from your console's network settings.
