Questions
How long does 212 GB take?
At a steady 100 Mbps, about 4 h 43 min. At 50 Mbps, about 9 h 25 min. At 1 Gbps, about 28 min. These are straight sums from the size and the speed, so real downloads can take longer.
What is the difference between Mbps and MB/s?
Internet plans are sold in megabits per second (Mbps). Download screens often show megabytes per second (MB/s). One MB/s is 8 Mbps, so 100 Mbps is 12.5 MB/s.
When can I start?
Digital pre-load opens on 10 November 2026: at midnight local time on PS5, and at 12 a.m. GMT worldwide on Xbox Series X|S. Official
Do I have to leave the console on?
For an automatic pre-load, PS5 needs auto-downloads on and the console on or in Rest Mode. Xbox needs automatic updates on and the console on or in Sleep mode. Official
Is that the whole download?
It covers the size you enter. The pre-load needs up to 212 GB of free space depending on your device. Rockstar has not published a separate installed size for each console. Official
