About Lag Explainer
A free page that reads spark profiles and explains them in ordinary words.
How it works
spark stores uploads on its content server, and its docs describe how to fetch the raw data and ask people to parse it directly where they can. That is what this page does: your browser downloads the one profile you paste, once, and reads it on your device. There is no server of ours in between, and no copy is kept.
Names from older servers are translated first, so a Fabric 1.21 profile that says class_2614 is still understood as a hopper.
Limits
- It reads Minecraft Java servers. A proxy or client profile is flagged.
- It knows the classes in its rule table. Anything else counts as other server work.
- Older Spigot and Forge names hide method names, so some detail is lost there.
- A profile only covers the minutes it ran. If the lag was not happening, it will not be in the data.
Credit
spark is made by lucko and contributors under the GPL 3.0. This page shares none of its code. It is an independent reader of the published data format and is not affiliated with spark.
Who runs this
One developer who builds Minecraft and Hytale server plugins. If you would rather have someone fix it, see the commissions page on Ko-fi.
