How it works

What verified means

Hytale servers talk QUIC over UDP, which a website cannot ping from where this one runs. So a server joins this list by running a small plugin, ServerListLink. Once a minute it sends player count, player limit, version and uptime over HTTPS, signed with a key only that server has.

That means the number came from software running on that server, not from a form. It is not a mathematical proof: an owner who rewrites the plugin could send false numbers. So the site also refuses impossible values, flags sudden jumps and flat lines, and ranks on a rolling average that a short spike barely moves. Flagged servers say so on their page and rank last until the pattern stops.

How ranking works

Servers are ordered by average players over about the last hour. Paying does not change that order. Sponsored listings sit in a separate labelled block above it, in hourly rotation, and also appear at their true rank below.

Privacy

The plugin sends no player names, UUIDs or IP addresses. It has no field for them. The site never records a server's IP; the join address appears only if the owner types it in. Optional extras are off until the owner turns them on: mod count, a retention band of low, medium or high, and for Compatibility watch the mod list and scan results, which stay private to the manage page.

Rate limiting uses a keyed hash of the visitor's address, reused each hour. For Premium we keep the Ko-fi transaction id, amount and a keyed hash of the payer's email so that renewals reach the right server. We do not keep the name, the message or the plain address.

Terms

Listings can be removed for misleading names, faked numbers or anything illegal. Premium is sold through Ko-fi as described on the Premium page. The list is provided as it is, and a server being listed is not a recommendation.

Limits you should know about

There is no account system. Your private manage URL is the only key to your listing, so keep it safe. If you lose it, run /serverlist manage on your server to replace it. Compatibility alerts and reports go to Discord and your manage page; there is no email.

The in-game server browser

Hytale has its own server discovery, and you should list there too. This site is a separate, independent list: it keeps history and uptime, and its pages can be found from a search engine. Being listed here has no connection to any official listing.
